Episode 2

Here is episode 2 of Wannabe Knitter. In this episode I discuss progress I have made, new projects, how I organize my projects, my accessory bag, and my knitting cards. I also talk about why I am thankful for my hands, and talk about the "Knitting Lady."

Also, I have started a group on Ravelry.com called "Wannabe Knitter." If you have any questions, ideas, suggestions, advice, please leave a comment below, or email me at wannabe knitter@gmail.com.

Please be patient as I get it up and running in iTunes. We are still working on the technical side of things. Thanks for watching!

  1. I've enjoyed half of your video so far and will come back for the rest - you do a lovely presentation! Some useful tips: using a ziplock or keeping a see-through pencil case for smaller items such as as the needle gauge - this experienced knitter hadn't thought of any of that!
I noticed that your stitch markers look like small safety pins which has prompted me to think that when I start for the first time to knit socks on 4 needles I could use a safety pin as marker. This is knitting on a budget!
Do you do a music blog as well? (I play melodeon)

  2. Thank you, MoiraG, for your comments. I really appreciate it. I hadn't thought of my way of organizing as being thrifty! I have to admit, though, I bought the "safety pin" stitch markers from Knitpicks.com, as well as the "pencil case." I suppose, now that I think about it, I could have just bought them at the local supermarket. I have seen real safety pins used as stitch markers, though.

My podcast is now up and running on iTunes, and can be found by doing a search for "Wannabe Knitter." I already have episode 3 up. Which reminds me, I need to post it here, too.

This is the only podcast I am doing. I'm not sure anyone would want to listen to me pluck my guitar or mandolin, or sing, but maybe I could have my husband play his bagpipes for an episode, if I ever do a podcast on Scottish wool!

Thank you for watching, and I am totally open for advice, techniques, tricks, tips, etc. . . I want to learn all I can! I would love any input you may have.
